機械部品調達のAIプラットフォーム「meviy（メビー）」（サービス提供元：株式会社ミスミグループ本社）は、 2024年度「meviy for education」の公募を開始します。プログラムの内容は、支援団体に対しmeviyの部品購入時に使用できる最大10万円分のクーポンの提供をはじめ、meviyの特別講座など教育機関向けにさまざまな支援を実施します。今後もミスミは、製造業における若者離れや高齢化による人手不足に加え、技術継承を行う教育人材の不足といった課題に向き合い、製造業の未来を支える多様な人材育成に貢献してまいります。

「meviy for education」実施背景
「meviy for education」はものづくり産業の未来を支える人材育成を目的とし、ものづくりに挑戦する教育機関（学校法人）を対象に公募を実施、選考を通過した団体に対し、meviyの部品購入時に使用できる最大10万円分のクーポンの提供やmeviy特別講座の実施などといった支援を行うプログラムです。本プログラムは2023年に新設※したもので、好評により本年も実施することを決定しました。meviyはAI技術の活用により、設計データをもとに加工上製作が不可となる箇所を検出、さらに改善案を提示する機能を搭載していることの学習効果や、3Dデータをアップロードするだけで即時に価格と納期を確認できることで、より実践的な感覚を身につけることができるといった観点から、全国の教育機関のうちおよそ3割の機関で活用されています。本プログラムは、このようなmeviyの教育ツールとしての側面を活用したもので、ものづくり産業の未来を支える人材育成に貢献します。

- Offering vouchers of up to 100,000 yen ! We encourage those shaping the future of the manufacturing industry -
meviy, an AI-based parts procurement platform powered by MISUMI Group Inc., (hereinafter “MISUMI”), is now accepting applications for “meviy for education” for 2024. This program will offer selected student groups with vouchers of worth up to 100,000 yen for purchasing parts via meviy. In addition, it provides a variety of support services tailored to educational institutions, including a special lecture on meviy. MISUMI continues to contribute to the development of diverse human resources that will build the future of the manufacturing industry by addressing issues such as the shortage of young people in the manufacturing industry, the labor shortage due to the aging of the workforce, and the shortage of
educational personnel to pass on skills.

"meviy for education“ Background
The purpose of "meviy for education" is to develop the future leaders of the manufacturing industry and is open to educational institutions (school corporations) that foster a relentless pursuit of manufacturing among students. The program will provide selected student groups with vouchers of worth up to 100,000 yen for purchasing parts via meviy. In addition, it offers a variety of support services tailored to educational institutions, including a special lecture on meviy. “meviy for education” was newly launched in 2023*, and due to its popularity, we are running it again this year. meviy is a parts procurement platform where AI technology not only detects non-manufacturable components based on uploaded design data, but also provides suggestions for design improvements. meviy provides users with a learning experience and can instantly confirm prices and delivery dates from the uploaded 3D data, allowing users to get a more hands-on feel for the process. With these advantages, meviy is used by about 30% of educational
institutions in Japan, and through "meviy for education," where meviy is used as an educational tool, we contribute to develop the future leaders of the manufacturing industry.
